Racing Extravaganza: The Venetian Resort Unwraps Formula 1 2023 Plans in Vegas

Las Vegas prepares to host its inaugural Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix from November 16-18.
The city's streets will transform into a racecourse. The Venetian Resort Las Vegas stands as the focal point, serving as the base for the BWT Alpine F1 Race Team.

Notable celebrities, including Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, were recently announced as investors in the BWT Alpine F1 Race Team, alongside Ryan Reynolds, Michael B. Jordan and Rob McElhenney.

The resort has a key location along the Las Vegas Strip, offering a unique advantage by overseeing 20% of the entire course – the highest percentage among all properties in Las Vegas.

The Venetian aims to play an active role in the Formula 1 festivities with a range of exclusive events during the race weekend. From an F1 Hub, presented by American Express, showcasing exclusive merchandise and collaborations with fashion brands to pop-up stores featuring Kappa, Palace and Alpine.

Moreover, The Venetian will host exclusive chef dinners by culinary luminaries Wolfgang Puck, Thomas Keller and Tetsuya Wakuda on November 16.

There will be an Amber Lounge afterparty featuring Kylie Minogue at Voltaire on November 18. Also, Nile Rodgers & CHIC will host two exclusive shows at Voltaire on November 15 and 17.

The Venetian will offer Grand Prix Room Packages, providing guests with a three-night stay at The Venetian or The Palazzo, up to four F1 tickets and three-day passes to the Grandstands at T-Mobile Zone at Sphere at The Venetian.

Looking back, controversies loomed ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix in July 2023, with F1 reportedly threatening to block views from the Strip unless nearby restaurants and clubs paid fees to view the races. The event, expecting over 300,000 F1 fans, sparked discussions about fees for views and potential obstructions for those not paying.

In August 2023, The Venetian made headlines as it became the host of the new Yahoo Sportsbook, a 12,000-square-foot venue powered by William Hill, offering a new sports betting experience.

Things have levelled out on the week of the actual Grand Prix. And the excitement is palpable...
